Since 1919, Carolina Blower has built a reputation for quality. Our material-handling fans and rotary air locks are used for dust and fume extraction in furniture, wood products, paper, food, plastics, chemicals and other industries. Our offering includes a complete line of material handling blowers ranging in inlet size from 11” to 37”

and from 600 to 38,000CFM are offered. Standard construction units are fabricated from ¼” steel plate and EXTRA HEAVY construction units that have a ¼” steel plate housing and ⅜” blades and scroll. We offer the units in several variations that can include motor, v-belt drives, shaft seal, belt guard, access door, flanged inlet and outlet with housing drain.

Air Craftsmen, Inc. was started by Ken Hodges in July of 1981 after working for several prominent filter and duct providers for more than twenty years. He decided to start Air Craftsmen, Inc. in the spare bedroom of his home in Winston-Salem, NC.

Three years later Ken purchased a full manufacturing facility in Lexington,

NC to best serve both the paper and wood industry in the area. This included furniture manufacturers to label makers. By the 1990's the company had grown to 26 employees.

In 2004 Ken and several key employees designed and created the TRM filter. This filter was ideal with a small footprint, under unit bag collection, and easy maintenance. 300 TRM filters have been installed to date.

In 2018 Air Craftsmen, Inc. was acquired by Bruning & Federle Manufacturing located in Statesville, NC. The headquarters, machinery, and spare part inventory has since moved to Statesville as well. Ken Hodges has remained with the company, bringing his 60+ years of experience with him.

Air Craftsmen, Inc. provides solutions for its customers in partnership with Moldow, BaleMaster, BloAPCo, and along with in-house manufactured items. We offer a full line of spare parts and provide maintenance as required.
